During the course, participants will have the opportunity to become aware of the different aspects of emotional intelligence and the impact that good emotional management can have on their personal and professional lives. Participants will gain awareness and develop personal and social skills in the 5 dimensions of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-control, motivation, empathy and social skills. They will be able to develop a personal action plan. Emotional intelligence is the foundation of skills critical to an individual's success as a member of his or her work team.

Segment 1: Defining emotional intelligence

By the end of this segment, the participant will understand in simple terms what emotional intelligence is, and how it contributes to professional and personal success.

  • Reflecting on the qualities associated with emotional intelligence
  • Overview of the different models and definitions according to researchers such as Richard Boyatzis, Peter Salovey, John Mayer, Daniel Goleman, Reuven Bar-On, Annie McKee, Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves.
  • The importance of psychological safety in creating high-performance teams
  • The power of kindness.

Segment 2: Introduction to the 5 components of emotional intelligence

At the end of this segment, the participant will be able to name the 5 components of emotional intelligence and will be able to situate himself/herself in relation to the average person.

  • Introduction to Daniel Goleman's model and the 5 components of

Segment 3: Self-awareness

By the end of this segment, participants will be able to recognize how self-awareness is the basis of emotional intelligence.

Segment 4: Self-mastery

By the end of this segment, participants will have experimented with tools and strategies for managing their emotions.

  • Identify tips and tricks for regulating intense emotions.
  • Experiment with emotion regulation techniques such as mindfulness meditation and cardiac coherence.

Segment 5: Motivation

At the end of this segment, the participant will have experienced the state of "flow" and will have some ideas on how to be more aligned with activities that correspond to his or her deepest motivations.

  • Experiencing flow.
  • Identify what recharges and discharges our batteries, and what motivates us.
  • Identify the areas of our lives where we need to take better care of ourselves.

Segment 6: Empathy

By the end of this segment, participants will have experienced empathic listening.

  • Exploration of a special situation to measure empathy.
  • Take an empathy test.
  • Discover and practice tips and tricks for developing empathic listening.

Segment 7: Social skills

By the end of this segment, participants will have acquired the basics of conscious communication, which promotes social skills.

  • Discover the 3 paths of communication.
  • Learn the basics of positive communication.
  • Learn and practice Non-Violent Communication.

Segment 8: Conclusion

At the end of this segment, participants will be able to summarize what they have learned and translate it into an action plan.

  • Draw up a mind map to summarize what they have learned
