Participants will learn about the structure and operation of GPOs, the differences between local policies and Active Directory domains, and best practices for compatibility, security and desktop governance. The GPO Management Console (GPMC), ADMX templates, WMI filters and GPO-based application deployment are also covered.
GPP preferences for automating tasks such as disk and printer assignment, registry modification, task scheduling and service management are covered in detail. The use of PowerShell for GPO administration is also included, to facilitate recurring tasks and large-scale deployments.
Objectives of the training
To provide the knowledge and skills required to administer Active Directory using group policies and preferences in Windows Server ADS 2019 / 2016 / 2012 R2 / 2008 R2 networks and Windows 7, 8 and 10 workstations.Targeted audience
