The project charter is the first deliverable of a project, the document that confirms the existence of the project and its objective. The project charter serves to validate the customer's assumptions, stakeholder expectations, expected benefits, risks, milestones, estimated costs, etc. It also facilitates communication between the project manager and the customer.
In short, it ensures a common understanding of the project's objectives.
In this practical workshop, you'll learn how to draw up a charter to get your project off on the right foot!

Objectives of the training
The participant will be able to create a project charter.
Targeted audience
Project supervision and coordination, team leader and management positions.
A good project charter clearly defines the scope of the project. Conversely, the absence of a project charter opens the door to unrealistic objectives, budget overruns, work overload, missed deadlines...
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to collect and document the project requirements that need to be included in your project charter:
What is the project context (project description)?
What is the project's added value?
What is the scope, with inclusions and exclusions?
What are the objectives to be achieved and the expectations to be met?
What are the project milestones and deliverables?
What is the budget and preliminary schedule (even at a high level).
What are the impacts of carrying out the project, and of not carrying it out?
Who are the stakeholders and what is their level of involvement?
What are the risks involved?
Who makes up the project team, and what are their roles and responsibilities?
At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a project charter template that you can use for your own projects.
If you have any questions about registration, cancellation, timetables, language of instruction, etc., you'll find the answers in our FAQ.
