Module 1: Introduction to the Power BI ecosystem
Before you start creating reports, you need to understand what Power BI is used for and how it fits into the world of business intelligence.
- Understand the power of Business Intelligence (BI) and the role of Power BI.
- Discover the different components: Power BI Desktop, Service (Cloud), and Mobile.
Become familiar with the Power BI Desktop interface and the four key steps of a project.
Module 2: Importing and transforming data with Power Query
The quality of a dashboard depends on the data you use. In this module, you will learn how to import and prepare data.
- Connect to various data sources (Excel/CSV files, folders, web sources).
Power Query, or how to apply the necessary transformations to clean and prepare data :
- Filter, sort, and delete unnecessary data.
- Manage data types and headers.
- Split columns, merge, add conditional columns.
Discover best practices for optimizing loading and performance.
Module 3: Modeling your data and creating your first DAX formulas
Creating reliable reports starts with a solid data structure. Here, you will learn how to model your data and use the basics of the DAX language.
- Understand the importance of a good data model.
- Build a star schema: the best practice for effective reporting.
- Create and configure relationships between tables (cardinality, filtering direction).
- Introduction to the DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) language :
- Differentiate between calculated columns and measures.
- Create your first simple measures with aggregation functions (SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE).
Discover the power of the CALCULATE function for contextual calculations.
Module 4: Building clear and interactive dashboards
It's time to bring your data to life! This module guides you through creating meaningful visuals and interactive reports.

- Apply a graphic theme for a consistent and professional design.

Module 5 : Publish, share, and update your reports on Power BI Service
