Cultivate courageous and aligned leadership as a manager
Managerial courage is an essential skill for any manager wishing to inspire trust, exercise authority assertively and deal with complex situations with integrity.
Demonstrating managerial courage is not just about making difficult decisions or saying no. It's also about communicating transparently. It also means communicating transparently, facing up to responsibilities even when not entirely comfortable with a decision taken at another level, managing conflict constructively, encouraging innovation and challenging the status quo when necessary.
This posture is rarely innate; fortunately, it can be learned.
This training course helps managers recognize their own obstacles, identify their inner levers and find concrete strategies for acting courageously, even under pressure. It uses real-life situations to build courageous, clear-sighted and credible leadership.

Training content
A 4-module training course to identify, develop and embody an aligned, coherent and courageous management posture.
1 Defining managerial courage
Understanding what lies behind a courageous posture
In this first module, participants explore a variety of challenging managerial situations and identify what a courageous response entails. Through concrete examples, they clarify the notion of managerial courage and address several ways of putting it into practice according to their management style.
- What is managerial courage?
- Which management strategies demonstrate managerial courage.
2 Assessing your own courage as a leader
Taking stock for better progress
Using common management situations (delicate feedback, unpopular decisions, conflict management, uncertainty), each participant assesses his or her own level of managerial courage. The aim is to identify the situations that put our leadership most to the test, so that we can better anticipate them and adopt strategies to deal with them more confidently.
- Self-assessment of our managerial courage.
- Awareness of strengths and areas for improvement.
3 Strengthening your managerial courage on a daily basis
Choosing strategies that suit you
Because there is no universal recipe, this module proposes a reflection on the most effective personal levers. Participants identify practices they can adopt or reinforce to better face relational, ethical or decision-making challenges with courage.
- Identifying managerial courage strategies that are appropriate and can be applied.
4 Managerial courage: drawing up an action plan
Moving from intention to action in a real-life situation
This final module enables participants to apply what they have learned in the previous modules to transform intentions into action. Each person is invited to identify a real situation in their professional environment where demonstrating managerial courage is necessary, and then to build a clear action plan, aligned with their values and responsibilities.
- Real-life situations to apply the concepts covered in previous modules.
