Tools and method to test the accessibility of your digital products.
Validating the accessibility (of a website or an application) according to WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards and best practices cannot be improvised. Without the right method or tools, issues fly under the radar until they are reported by users or picked up during an audit. And the longer it takes to detect it, the heavier the fixes.
Through demonstrations and practical exercises, this training covers the main validation tools: screen reader (NVDA or VoiceOver), browser extensions, mobile tools... and provides a practical framework for detecting accessibility issues, identifying their source and proposing ways to fix them.
A reference training for anyone who contributes to the quality of digital products.
Is it for you ?
Developers, web integrators, designers, analysts, quality assurance testers and anyone involved in the technical validation of digital products and services.
Prerequisites
The installation of NVDA (Windows) is required before the start of the training. It is automatically present on Mac. Basic notions in web development or interface testing are an asset. Some software must be installed (see Notes)
What You'll Walk Away With
- ✓ Use key accessibility validation tools, including screen reader
- ✓ Detect accessibility issues and identify the cause
- ✓ Assess the impact of issues on users to prioritize resolution
- ✓ Apply a robust validation methodology
