SCHEDULE, TRAINING LOCATION AND PARKING

What is the daily course schedule ?

Courses start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Please note that the reception area opens at 8:30 a.m., at which time you will be invited to enjoy a continental breakfast.

Where is training given ?

In Montréal

Training sessions are held at 440 René-Lévesque Boulevard West, 5th Floor, Montréal.

In Quebec City

Training sessions are held at one of the following areas:

  • Hôtel Québec, located at 3115 des Hôtels Avenue, Sainte-Foy (see map)
  • Itergy, located at 710 Bouvier Street,  Suite 298, Quebec City (see map) (PDF map)
  • Hôtel Plaza, located at 3081  Laurier Blvd., Sainte-Foy (see map)

Your specific training location will be indicated on the course registration confirmation that will be e-mailed to you.

In Gatineau

Training sessions are held at Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa Hotel at 2, Montcalm Street, Gatineau.

Is there parking nearby?

In Montréal

Several pay parking lots are available near Technologia’s offices. Costs range from $12 to $15 per day. Our customers can also use the metered parking situated in the basement of the building (entrance on Carmichael Street).

In Quebec City

Free parking is available.

In Gatineau

Pay parking lots are available for all participants.

How do I register for a training session?

You can register for one or more training sessions either online or by fax.

To register online:

Select the number of participants you would like to register for one or several courses on a given date.  

Click on the Proceed to Registration button located in the right-hand column.

You then only need to follow the steps displayed to register for the courses in your cart. Once you have completed the registration process, Technologia will send you a confirmation of your registration by e-mail the next business day.

To register by fax:

Print the registration form (PDF document, in French only).

Once you have completed the form, fax it to us at 514.380.8234.

We will send you a confirmation of your registration by e-mail the next business day.

Are there deadlines for course registration?

There are no deadlines for course registration at Technologia. You can register at anytime, subject to course availability.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Registration is always confirmed by e-mail the next business day. If you fail to receive confirmation within this timeframe, please contact us.

How do I know if I am eligible for the preferential rate?

A preferential rate is granted to:

  • Government and paragovernmental departments and agencies (including Hydro-Québec, Loto-Québec, etc.).
  • Municipalities and organizations within the health and education network.
  • Participants to a course or seminar that are members of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec (ADMA), members of the  Association québécoise des informaticiennes et informaticiens indépendants (AQIII), members of the Order of Professionnal Chartered Accountants of Québec (CPA) and members of Réseau des ingénieurs du Québec (RIQ).
  • Non-profit organizations.
  • Businesses that have an agreement with Technologia: AXA, Banque Nationale du Canada, Banque TD et ses filiales, Bombardier Transport, CAE, CGI, Coop fédérée, CryoCath Technologies, Desjardins, Eidos Montréal, Énergie Renouvelable Brookfield, Forensic, Glaxosmith, IBM/LGS, Intact Assurances et ses filiales, McKesson Canada, Metro, Olympus NDT Canada, Quebecor, SNC-Lavalin, Standard Life, TELUS, Transcontinental, Ubisoft, Vacances Air Canada, Vêtements Peerless, Via Rail et Videotron.

Do you accept Microsoft vouchers?

Technologia does not accept Microsoft vouchers.

How can I find out if there are still spaces available for a specific course?

To find out if there are spaces available for a specific course, call us or send an e-mail to formation@technologia.ca and indicate the course name or number along with the date.

How can I find out if a course has been confirmed?

To find out the status of a specific course, call us or send an e-mail to formation@technologia.ca and indicate the course name or number along with the date.

CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT OR SUBSTITUTION POLICY

CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT OR SUBSTITUTION POLICY

Can I cancel my registration for a training course?

Yes. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • There is no charge if you cancel a course at least ten business days before the course start date.
  • If you cancel between two and nine business days before the course start date, you will be required to pay half of the registration fees.
  • If you fail to show up to a course or cancel the day before the course start date, you will be required to pay the registration fees in full.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing (e-mail or fax 514 380-8234).
Substitution of participants can be made, at no charge, until the course start date.
Should Technologia be forced to cancel a course, 100% of your registration fees will be reimbursed.

Can I postpone my training until another date?

A postponement is essentially a course cancellation followed by a new registration. As such, our cancellation policy applies in this case as well. You must postpone your course in writing (e-mail or fax).

How should I proceed if my employer is paying for the training?

All invoices will be sent to your employer.

What are the terms of payment?

Invoice must be paid in full upon reception. Fees include course material, a continental breakfast and beverages. Payment can be made by cheque, Visa, MasterCard or AMEX.

What language are the courses taught in?

All of the public training courses in our catalogue are given in French, with the exception of Software Testing Methods and Tools (DE308) and Just in Time: Software Testing Methods (DE322), which are taught in English.

Do you provide training in English?

Yes. Most of our courses can be given in English if clients opt for a private training session. For more information on private training, contact us. Our sales team would be glad to provide you with a proposal.

CERTIFICATION AND RELATED QUESTIONS

Is the training provided by Technologia recognized by Emploi-Québec? Do you have a certificate number?

In accordance with the Act to Foster the Development of Manpower Training (Bill 90), Technologia is an educational institution accredited by Emploi-Québec (certificate no. 0053016). The training investments you make at Technologia are therefore admissible within the framework of this law.

Do participants receive an attestation at the end of the training session?

Yes. Each participant receives an attestation following the training session.

Do you provide Microsoft® certification?

Although Technologia has been a Microsoft® Certified Partner since its inception, we do not currently offer Microsoft certification.

Do you include the ITIL® exam as part of any of your courses?

Training course ITIL® 2011: Foundation (TI111) include the ITIL® exam required for the ITIL® 2011 Foundation international certification in management, authorized by groupe APM. Other intermediate ITIL® courses are also leading to specialized certifications such as RCV, SOA and OSA. Certified ITIL® training courses are provided by Qualiti7, an LCS-accredited training organization (ATO).

Is lunch provded with my training?

Lunch is not provided.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

In Montréal

There are several restaurants near our offices, including the Complexe Desjardins food court and a variety of restaurants in Chinatown. There is also a little café-style restaurant located on the ground floor of our building.

In Quebec City and Gatineau

There are several restaurants located near all of our training facilities.

Can I bring my lunch?

Yes, you can bring your lunch.

In Montréal

There is an eating area equipped with a microwave and a small refrigerator.

In Québec City and Gatineau

There is no designated eating area, but you are welcome to eat your lunch in the classroom. However, there is no microwave oven or refrigerator.

Do you have a wireless Internet connection?

Yes, a wireless Internet connection is available at all of our training facilities.

Do I need to bring my laptop to the training session?

You do not need to bring your laptop to the training session. Computers are provided for all practical courses that require them.

To find out who is teaching a specific course, call us or send an e-mail to formation@technologia.ca and  indicate the course name or number along with the date. Our team will be glad to help you.

Is it possible to speak directly to the trainer?

Our team is available to answer your questions anytime, and we will be glad to help you choose the training course that best meets your needs. If you have any questions for the trainer, we would be glad to forward them to him or her.
