Patrice Leroux is the Director of the Certificate in Applied Communications and the Certificate in Public Relations at Université de Montréal.
He is also a research associate for Université Laval’s Observatoire des médias sociaux en relations publiques. Before working as a professional trainer, Patrice enjoyed a career in public relations for close to 15 years. Co-author of Vocabulaire raisonné en relations publiques, published in 2014, Patrice is also the creator of a course entitled REP2004 Internet et relations publiques. Introduced in 1999, this university-level course is one of the first of its kind in Canada.
Certified member of the Public Relations Society of Canada since 1996, he holds a Master’s in Media Studies from Concordia University. A blogger since 2009, Patrice was also head translator for the TweetDeck app acquired by Twitter in 2011.
