Benoit Dubuc


As a seasoned trainer with extensive field expertise, Benoit Dubuc was a natural choice as Training Advisor for the Web - XML - E-learning program.

He has given more than 600 training sessions and trained more than 4600 people in Web technologies.

Benoit Dubuc holds a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from McGill University with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and has more than 20 years’ experience in Web technologies. He is at the head of Espace Courbe, a company specialized in designing, developing and installing dynamic Web sites and portals for government agencies and professional associations.

In 2002, Benoit Dubuc and his team took an interest in open-source software for Web content management as well as its impact on content management overall. He took part in various consultation projects for the analysis and implementation of content management systems for prestigious clients such as the International Civil Aviation Organization, Radio-Canada, Polytechnique Montréal and Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Since 2010, Benoit Dubuc has been specialized in universal web applications based on HTML5 and standards such as RSS and TourML. His team is responsible for creating the application for the Montréal. Traces. Lieux. Mémoires exhibition at the Centre d'histoire de Montréal and the MobiCulte site intended to help users discover Quebec’s rich religious heritage based on their personal location. In 2016, he took his first steps in the world of objects connected with LE Bluetooth transmitters that support Eddystone-URL and the Physical Web browser.
