  • Overview of database modeling diagrams, and the relationships between tables
  • Data versus information: structured and non-structured data
  • Extracting data from a table with the SELECT command
  • Using joins to query data from several tables
  • Sorting and grouping
  • Using Microsoft Query (Excel) to query data
  • Using a query builder tool
  • Designing simple and complex queries
  • Using subqueries
  • Set operations: UNION, INTERSECT and EXCEPT
  • Validating and verifying queries
