  • Overview of MDX: Cubes, Measures, Dimensions, Hierarchies, Members, Sets
  • Designing MDX queries: the syntax of a SELECT query, the notion of axes, the SELECT/FROM/WHERE clause
  • Calculated members and named sets: overview of named sets and their use in PKI
  • Navigation and selection: selecting members in a hierarchy (PARENT, CHILDREN, DESCENDANTS, etc.)
  • Sorting and grouping data
  • Using scripts to customize a cube: using expressions and parameters
  • Modifying the multidimensional environment: optimization techniques
