To provide French speakers with the knowledge and skills required to identify and correct the most common mistakes, by putting into practice the rules and conventions of contemporary English writing.

  • Problems related to the use of the singular and plural forms: agreement of indefinite pronouns, irregular plurals
  • Particular verb forms such as the subjunctive, the conditional and reported speech
  • Modal verbs (can, could, would, should, etc.) and their various uses
  • Specific problematic words (this/that, wish/hope, who/whom/whomever, when/whenever, have to/need to/must, etc.)
  • Common structural errors
