What is the daily course schedule ?

Courses start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:30 pm. Please note that the reception area opens at 8:30 a.m., at which time you will be invited to enjoy a continental breakfast.

Is there parking nearby?

In Montréal

Several pay parking lots are available near Technologia’s offices. Costs range from $12 to $15 per day.

In Quebec City

Free parking is available.

In Gatineau

Pay parking lots are available for all participants.

In  Ottawa

Pay parking lots are available for all participants front of the hotel at 265, Laurier West Avenue.


Registration and dates

How do I register for a training session?

You can register for one or more training sessions either online.

To register online:

Select the number of participants you would like to register for one or several courses on a given date.  

Click on the Proceed to Registration button located in the right-hand column.

You then only need to follow the steps displayed to register for the courses in your cart. Once you have completed the registration process, Technologia will send you a confirmation of your registration by e-mail the next business day.

Are there deadlines for course registration?

There are no deadlines for course registration at Technologia. You can register at anytime, subject to course availability.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Registration is always confirmed by e-mail the next business day. If you fail to receive confirmation within this timeframe, please contact us.

How do I know if I am eligible for the preferential rate?

A preferential rate is granted to:

  • Government and paragovernmental departments and agencies (including Hydro-Québec, Loto-Québec, etc.).
  • Municipalities and organizations within the health and education network.
  • Members of the Order of Professionnal Chartered Accountants of Québec (CPA), members of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), members of the Réseau Action TI and members of the Réseau des professionnels de la formation du Québec (RPFQ).
  • Non-profit organizations.

No, discounts offered by Technologia can not be applied when a business already has a prepaid bank of courses or a pre-established agreement with Technologia.

Do you accept Microsoft vouchers?

Technologia does not accept Microsoft vouchers.

How can I find out if there are still spaces available for a specific course?

How can I find out if a course has been confirmed?

Can I use a prepaid bank of courses for online training course ?

No, the use of a prepaid bank of courses is not available for all online training courses.

What is the payment policy for online training course ?

Please note that for any registration with an online training course, only credit card payments are accepted.

Cancellation, postponement or substitution policy

Can I cancel my registration for a training course?

Yes. Our cancellation policy is as follows for Canadian residents (If you are outside Canada, please contact our customer support):

  • There is no charge if you cancel a course at least ten business days before the course start date.
  • If you cancel between two and nine business days before the course start date, you will be required to pay half of the registration fees.
  • If you fail to show up to a course or cancel the day before the course start date, you will be required to pay the registration fees in full.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing (e-mail formation@technologia.ca or fax 514 380-8234).

Substitution of participants can be made, at no charge, until the course start date. Should Technologia be forced to cancel a course, 100% of your registration fees will be reimbursed.

Can I postpone my training until another date?

A postponement is essentially a course cancellation followed by a new registration. As such, our cancellation policy applies in this case as well. You must postpone your course in writing (e-mail or fax).

What is the registration and cancellation policy for online training courses ?

All subscriptions for online training courses are effective at time of purchase. Cancelations or prolongations are not allowed. All sales are final. Your login information will be emailed to you within 24 hours (or next business day) after receiving your registration information


How should I proceed if my employer is paying for the training?

All invoices will be sent to your employer.

What are the terms of payment?

Invoice must be paid in full upon reception. Fees include course material, a continental breakfast and beverages. Payment can be made by cheque, Visa, MasterCard or AMEX.

Language of instruction

What language are the courses taught in?

All of the public training courses in our catalogue are given in French, except for certain dates for specific courses, at which time the courses are given in English.

Do you provide training in English?

Yes. Some public training courses can be given in English. Our courses can be also given in English if clients opt for a private training session. Our sales team would be glad to provide you with a proposal.

Certification and related questions

Is the training provided by Technologia recognized by Emploi-Québec? Do you have a certificate number?

In accordance with the Act to Foster the Development of Manpower Training (Bill 90), Technologia is an educational institution accredited by Emploi-Québec (certificate no. 0053016). The training investments you make at Technologia are therefore admissible within the framework of this law.

Do participants receive an attestation at the end of the training session?

Yes. Each participant receives an attestation following the training session.

Do you provide Microsoft® certification?

Although Technologia has been a Microsoft® Certified Partner since its inception, we do not currently offer Microsoft certification.

Do you include the ITIL® exam as part of any of your courses?

Training course ITIL® 2011: Foundation (TI111) include the ITIL® exam required for the ITIL® 2011 Foundation international certification in management, authorized by groupe APM. Other intermediate ITIL® courses also lead to specialized certifications such as RCV, SOA and OSA. Certified ITIL® training courses are provided by Qualiti7, an LCS-accredited training organization (ATO).

Is lunch provded with my training?

Lunch is not provided.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

In Montreal

There are several restaurants near our offices, including the Complexe Desjardins food court and a variety of restaurants in Chinatown. Copper Branch restaurant (vegan food) and Starbucks are also located right beside our building.

In Quebec City

Although there are several restaurants in the area, they are not located near our training facilities and can only be accessed by car.

In Gatineau

There are several restaurants located near our training facilities.

In Ottawa

There are several restaurants located near our training facilities.

Can I bring my lunch?

Yes, you can bring your lunch.

In Montreal and Quebec City

There is an eating area equipped with a microwave and a small refrigerator.

In Gatineau

There is no designated eating area, but you are welcome to eat your lunch in the classroom. However, there is no microwave or refrigerator.

In Ottawa

There is no designated eating area, but you are welcome to eat your lunch in the classroom. However, there is no microwave or refrigerator.

Internet connection and computers

Do you have a wireless Internet connection?

Yes, a wireless Internet connection is available at all of our training facilities.

Do I need to bring my laptop to the training session?

You do not need to bring your laptop to the training session. Computers are provided for all practical courses that require them.


How can I find out who is giving a specific course?

To find out who is teaching a specific course, call us or send an e-mail to formation@technologia.ca and indicate the course name or number along with the date. Our team will be glad to help you.

Is it possible to speak directly to the trainer?

Our team is available to answer your questions anytime, and we will be glad to help you choose the training course that best meets your needs. If you have any questions for the trainer, we would be glad to forward them to him or her.

Virtual classroom courses

How do virtual classroom courses work?

You will follow the course in Montreal in real time while being in our Quebec City classroom. All the equipment you need is given to you by Technologia and will be ready in the classroom for your arrival (laptops, cameras and communication system). The duration of the virtual classroom depends on the particular course you have chosen and will be the same as the in-classroom version.

How can I interact with the trainer?

You can interact with them as if you were in the classroom. The trainer will be able to see and hear you as if you were with them in Montreal. All of the participants of the virtual classroom in Quebec City will be filmed using a single camera. The sound will be distributed through a fiber-optic IP system.

What is the screen sharing?

The course will be projected on a screen in Quebec City. This means that the interactive screen in Montreal and the trainer (giving the course in Montreal) will be projected on two screens side by side in your classroom. The trainer will be able to access your laptop, see what you are doing in the case of practical exercises and be able to help you if needed.

How can I register for one or several of Technologia’s webinars?

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will be informed of the different webinars as soon as the program is posted online. From the program of webinars, you can easily access online registration by clicking Register. All of our webinars are free. Remember that you cannot register after 11:00 a.m. on the day of the webinar. However, you will still be able to view the video from our Web site once the webinar is over.

How can I access my VIA session?

In the confirmation email you receive the day before the webinar, you will find a link to connect to the webinar from your laptop or computer. Note that access to the VIA platform will only be available 30 minutes before the presentation starts (11:30 a.m.).

How can I re-watch the webinar?

All of the webinar videos and written presentations are available in the Webinars section of our Web site one week after the webinar is given. The videos are also available on YouTube, and most of our PowerPoint presentations are available for download on SlideShare. Videos are also published on Technologia’s Facebook page.

How do Technologia’s webinars work?

Our webinars take place weekdays between noon to 1:00 p.m. and are broadcasted from our Montreal offices. We give about one webinar per month. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your webinar of choice through the VIA platform. The trainer’s PowerPoint presentation and video will be presented to you live. We use a fiber-optic IP system to distribute the sound and a professional camera to broadcast the video.

What kind of configuration do I need on my computer?

In the confirmation email you receive from VIA the day before the webinar, you will find a link to connect to the webinar from your laptop. We recommend that you test your configuration settings by clicking on “Configuration assistant”. We also recommend that you use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi to ensure a better experience.

Do I need headphones?

We suggest that you use headphones for an optimal sound experience and to prevent being distracted by other noises. You can also use your laptop’s integrated speakers.

What kind of internet connection do I need?

For optimal quality, use a wired broadband connection rather than Wi-Fi.

What if I encounter a technical issue?

For any technical issues, call 1-866-843-4848 (VIA’s technical support). A technician is there to help you with whatever you may need throughout the webinar.

How can I interact with the trainer?

You can interact with the trainer by asking your questions in the public chat section. The trainer will decide if he/she responds to questions one at a time during the webinar or if he/she waits until the end of the presentation. In case you miss any of the questions, you will have access to the video of the webinar on our website.
