The Core Solutions for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 course is the first step into toward Exchange 2013 MCSE. The goal of this course is to provide students with the key skills, needed to successfully plan, configure, install and manage Exchange Server 2013. Students who have attended the Core Solutions for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 course will gain competency with Exchange server. Crucial elements of this course include the coverage of Message Transport, Mailbox Role Management, Client Access Configuration and designing and managing an Exchange Server Infrastructure which are all needed for success at all levels of Exchange deployment and management.

Targeted audience

The Core Solutions for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 is an essential course for students preparing for the Exchange 2013 MCSE certification. Students pursuing the Exchange 2013 MCSE should attend both the Core and Advanced Solutions for Exchange Server 2013 courses.


There are no prerequisites for this course. However, this is not a beginner course. Students attending this course should have a solid understanding of Active Directory, basic messaging systems infrastructure requirements, network firewalls, delivery of web based services infrastructures and supported protocols. Students new to computer and Active Directory architecture should consider taking the MCSA track classes (410, 411 and 412) prior to attending this course in order to get the most out of their classroom experience.
