Objectives

To provide the knowledge and skills required to install and configure a Windows 2008 R2 server and to administer an Active Directory domain.

Target Audience

System and network administrators, and technical support personnel.

Prerequisites

Experience with Windows.

  • Setting up and managing Active Directory services and DDNS
  • Introduction to CPO/GPP group strategies
  • Managing and securing disk resources (NTFS) and partitions
  • File system management tools
  • Managing print services
  • Preventive maintenance and system monitoring
  • Backing up and restoring data
  • Using Hyper-V
  • The WDS deployment service
  • Firewall management
